On January 29th and 30th, 2026, U-Care Medical took part in ParmAI Week 26, an event promoted by SIAARTI (Italian Society of Anesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Intensive Care), focused on the application of artificial intelligence and new technologies in perioperative medicine and critical care.
The event provided a key opportunity for multidisciplinary exchange between healthcare professionals and AI experts, to explore the role of digital innovation in everyday clinical practice.
During the two-day program, discussions highlighted how AI is already delivering tangible improvements in clinical practice, from the operating room to intensive care units. Special attention was also given to strategic issues around innovation governance, including data security, AI ethics, system interoperability, and environmental sustainability.
Within this context, U-Care Medical presented the U-Care Renal Platform, an AI-powered solution designed to support ICU teams with continuous monitoring of renal risk and early detection of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). The platform integrates seamlessly into existing hospital workflows, using data already available in clinical systems and providing advanced clinical decision support through the use of predictive models.
The U-Care Renal Platform is already being used in clinical settings and was developed in response to the real-world needs of intensive care professionals. It aims to lower the risk of complications and improve how clinical resources are used. It’s an example of how AI can support patient care in complex environments, in a way that is both responsible and clinically relevant.
U-Care Medical’s participation in ParmAI Week reaffirms the company’s commitment to promoting a practical and responsible use of AI in healthcare, with the aim of enhancing care quality and empowering professionals to make faster, more reliable, and data-driven decisions.
